14:02:06 <pronovic> #info pronovic
14:02:15 <bkhl> #info bkhl
14:03:06 <pronovic> keverets?
14:03:12 <bkhl> Let's give Davor until five past?
14:03:21 <pronovic> yes, that's fine
14:03:23 <keverets> #info keverets
14:05:13 <pronovic> ok, I guess we will move on
14:05:19 <pronovic> #topic agenda
14:05:33 <pronovic> The agenda is at: https://wiki.hcoop.net/IrcMeetings/20191116
14:05:59 <pronovic> Clinton can't make it, but he provided some information that I will enter into the record at the right time.
14:06:06 <pronovic> Any questions about the agenda before we move on?
14:06:15 <keverets> no
14:06:17 <bkhl> Nope
14:06:27 <pronovic> #topic Financial Status
14:06:38 <pronovic> I have the following from Clinton:
14:06:44 <pronovic> Financial status: We have $3,048.46 in our bank account, vs $4007.44 in member balances, so we are getting close to no longer being
14:06:44 <pronovic> coop and is pending removal), against $265.20 in
14:06:54 <pronovic> I'm also planning to finally start entering back expenses from our old bank statements in the next month. It will take a few months to complete, I'll just be entering a few months each weekend as I have time, and there are several years that need entering.
14:07:04 <pronovic> (Sorry, that pasted horribly)
14:07:12 <pronovic> Any discussion?
14:07:21 <keverets> you may want to correct that for the record
14:07:36 <keverets> otherwise it reads as "so we are getting close to no longer being coop and is pending removal"
14:07:59 <pronovic> Financial status: We have $3,048.46 in our bank account, vs $4007.44 in member balances, so we are getting close to no longer being in any deficit. One negative: we've lost at least two members in the last two months and it looks like one or two more will be falling off soon. Dues are $553 per month (will be $546 next month, one member left the
14:07:59 <pronovic> coop and is pending removal), against $265.20in monthly expenses, so we're still in a decent position, but some advocacy to expand membership soon is probably needed (maybe after I've finished getting the last bits of ejabberd tuning and upgrade to buster and implement DKIM+DMARC so we're in a much betterposition services-wise?)
14:08:23 <pronovic> There, that's a little more legible
14:08:27 <pronovic> Any other discussion?
14:09:08 <pronovic> #topic Follow-ups on Cogeco Peer 1 Hosting Invoice from July 30
14:09:38 <pronovic> I have the following from Clinton:
14:09:41 <pronovic> Cogeco: I have not heard *anything* from Cogeco since we agreed to pay the invoice, and they haven't charged us (not sure if they properly deleted our card from their files). We've done all we can I think, and IMO it's on them to actually follow through now. It's a small enough charge that leaving it pending won't hurt us.
14:10:03 <pronovic> I agree that this is the best course of action for now. Is everyone else ok with that?
14:10:16 <bkhl> Yes, can't do much more if we asked them to charge us and they didn't.
14:10:16 <keverets> agreed
14:10:20 <pronovic> ok
14:10:37 <pronovic> do we need a formal vote on that?
14:10:48 <keverets> a vote on non-action is a bit odd
14:10:54 <keverets> I don't think it's required
14:11:02 <pronovic> that's fine with me
14:11:09 <pronovic> #topic Clint's notes on offsite backups
14:11:10 <bkhl> I think we decided last time to pay them and Clinton is still trying.
14:11:47 <pronovic> yes, agreed
14:11:57 <pronovic> I have the following notes from Clinton on offsite backups:
14:11:59 <pronovic> One thing that is *way* overdue is cancelling rsync.net: I had intended to get offsite backups working again for years now, but realistically we've just been throwing away $19.20 per month for no reason. Although rsync.net was very competetive when we started, I think we'd get a better rate with Backblaze B2 storage when I have time to implement
14:12:00 <pronovic> restic based offsite backups (first half of next year, I think), and saving $230.40 a year until we get offsite backups running again would be nice.
14:12:06 <pronovic> I just wanted to enter that into the record.
14:12:19 <bkhl> Should we have a vote to cancel rsync.net
14:12:30 <bkhl> ?
14:12:32 <keverets> pronovic: to make it in the summary it should be prefaced with #info
14:13:07 <pronovic> Ok, yes. I think it's ok that it's not in the summary, as long as it makes it into the minutes. But yeah, I think we can vote to cancel rsync.net.
14:13:30 <pronovic> #info vote: cancel rsync.net per Clinton's recommendations until we have offsite backup running again
14:13:44 <keverets> #info +1
14:13:46 <pronovic> #info +1
14:13:49 <bkhl> #info +1
14:13:55 <pronovic> #agreed
14:14:13 <pronovic> #topic Other business
14:14:46 <pronovic> Is there any other business? I do not have anything myself.
14:14:52 <keverets> I don't have anything
14:14:53 <bkhl> Me neither.
14:15:04 <pronovic> Anyone outside the board is welcome to ask questions or suggest topics.
14:15:53 <pronovic> Ok, I think that concludes the meeting for today. Thanks everyone for attending. Sorry for the mix-up in scheduling, but I appreciate everyone getting together across so many time zones.
