The Introduction provides an overview of the workshop and the supplies required for the exercises. We take a quick look at the board and the processor on it.
Exercise One connects the board to your computer and runs the temperature demo which Texas Instruments has already programmed into the processor.
Exercise Two uses the IAR Embedded Workbench application to view the source code for the temperature demo and program the demo into the MSP430.
For Exercise Three we write our own application and program the MSP430. Our initial application will blink one of the LEDs on the LaunchPad board.
Exercise Four uses the code from Exercise Three to blink an LED on a solderless breadboard.
